I’m a licensed Civil Engineer in California with over 13 years of experience in the field. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and have since developed a broad expertise in road design, commercial, residential, educational, and campus (tech and education) site civil engineering design. Throughout my career, I have cultivated a strong passion for both project and people management, and I am deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers. My greatest fulfillment in engineering comes from helping others and advancing sustainable practices within local communities.

In the first five years of my career, I taught Autodesk software to professionals in the AEC industry, working with everyone from entry-level participants to seasoned engineers, surveyors, and architects. Over the past six years, I have focused on mentoring junior engineers, guiding them in their career progression by identifying challenges and providing practical, step-by-step solutions.

Balancing my career with motherhood has been a significant focus for me over the last six years. I believe that the concept of “work-life balance” is more of a juggling act than a true balance, and I have navigated this reality while raising a young child. Throughout this time, I have faced and overcome challenges such as anxiety, mom guilt, employee guilt, and the unique pressures of the Covid shutdown with a baby. Despite these challenges, I have also experienced the rewards of seeing engineering designs come to life, watching those I have mentored grow in their careers, and celebrating countless “aha” moments along the way. My experiences have fueled my passion for engineering, and I am eager to share my knowledge with others. As an advocate for women and allies in STEAM, I bring a unique perspective as an engineer who also happens to be a woman.

Outside of work, I am an avid dog lover and share my life with two wonderful dogs—Bailey, an 8-year-old blue nose pitbull, and Oso, a 2-year-old husky, golden retriever, and American bully mix—along with my daughter and husband.
